Abstract
This proposal, for research into the concept, development, and possible application of spiritual literacy in art and science was not accepted by the British Academy, but forms the basis of an on-going project. A version of this was laterpresented as a conference paper for the Scientific and Medical Network annual gathering (AGM 1998 in Warwick).
