This series of essays was written for the Andrew Cohen blog. It gave me a chance to present my understanding of Neoplatonism, focussing on the concept of recapitulation, and relating it both to Eastern ideas of Enlightenment, including Andrew Cohen's evolutionary variant, and to my long-standing exploration of the 'via positiva'. It also presents an introduction to 'The Dolphin Paradigm' - a way of thinking about Postsecular spirituality using the evolutionary metaphor of the dolphin. (23,389 words).
